Italo Rota, an Italian architect who has been calling for “the end of minimalism”; in design, has refurbished the Casino Kursaal’s interiors. In the city of Lugano, modern casinos have been considered as stern and plain meeting places. Therefore, Italo Rota’s concept could be considered as a starting point to reflect on design as a pervasive actor in any kind of consumption.
