Accidents happen, and though we sometimes prepare for them, we rarely actually plan them. The city of Venice is getting ready for a planned disaster, the crash of two crowded vaporettos, Venice's water taxis. The crash will go down at scheduled day and time, right in the middle of the Canale dei Marani.
